Some new pictures of some of the painting projects I did over the holidays.
The Chaplain isn't new, but he hasn't been seen before with his bodyguard.
This squad isn't anything new either, but I finally managed to get a picture of them that wasn't completely blurry.
The Predator is new! a model that I inherited a long time ago that has been sitting with nothing but a primer coat for years, I finally decided to make it part of the legion.
I tried some weathering and paint damage effects, and I am not entirely sure if I like how they turned out. I think this technique is going to be trial and error.
The business end. I really like how the turret windows turned out.
This squad is the first one i've done where each model has a base coat, shading and highlighting. They turned out really well, but I think they look a lot better in person.
The humble Rhino, I tried to tone down the extreme blue of the Predator with a little less dry brushing and highlighting. I'm really mixed about this model, I think it's a little too blue, but I don't know what else to do with it.
The back end of the Rhino. Again, the hatch windows turned out great I think.
My Ultramarines are starting to come together nicely, I have over 1700 points now painted in the current scheme. I have a lot more to do though before this army is complete. I have a Vindicator, las-cannon Razorback, Land Raider Redeemer, Land Raider, and about two dozen more basic troopers yet to repaint but after assembling the whole painted collection for a photo, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.
